What's New - 12/20/22
We're unveiling an easier and more intuitive experience for school staff with rostered classes, which includes teachers, media specialists, and media specialists plus. These roles can now:
Create classroom challenges
Staff members with rostered classes can now create custom challenges for their classes and students! Teachers and media specialists can access a slimmed-down "Challenges" section to activate challenge templates, duplicate other staff members' challenges, and create challenges from scratch, and then select the class(es) they want to enroll in those challenges. Media specialists plus can still create and edit challenges for the whole school, and can also create their own classroom challenges if they have classes rostered to them. Check out this video or this article to learn more.
Quickly log for your classes
In the Beanstack admin dashboard, teachers, media specialists, and media specialists plus with rostered classes now see a handy "Log for My Classes" button in the top right corner of the home screen. Clicking this lets you pick a class, select or deselect specific students, and log a reading session in just a few moments. Check out this article for more details.
Easily view, search, and log for specific readers and classes
To top off this batch of school enhancements, staff have access to a revamped "Classes and Readers" section in their admin dashboard, which was formerly called "People." Within this section, teachers can view, search, and log for all their classes and rostered students and create reading groups. Media specialists and media specialists plus can similarly view, search, and log for their own classes and create reading groups, but they also have access to any class and student at the school and can view and search for staff as well. You can read more about the new "Classes and Readers" section here.
