These are the steps you will follow to log reading for more than one student in a class. For example, students might visit the library and have twenty minutes for independent reading that you want to record.
Select People > Find a Person. Enter the teacher’s information.
Click on the teacher’s name under the column header “Account Creator.” Do not click on their name in the “reader” column, or you will see that teacher’s own individual reading log!
Select “Log for All Readers” in the top right corner. The default is to log for all students in a class.
Select the correct section if a teacher has multiple sections listed. If an elementary teacher has multiple sections for one classroom of students, we recommend selecting "homeroom" if it is an option.
If you want to log reading for a smaller subset of students in the class, uncheck “select all,” and then remove the students for whom you do not want to log.
Enter the minutes read and select LOG. Enter the minutes per child rather than collectively. For example, if a class of 25 children read independently for 20 minutes, we would enter "20m" as the total time. Then, 20 minutes will be applied to all selected readers.
Now that information has been added to all checked students and related badges will have been earned as well
TIP ABOUT LOGGING: You may log many minutes for students at one time. For example, if you need to log reading for the past few weeks with a class you could add “100 minutes” and a title of “Independent Reading at Library,” and log those 100 minutes all at one time.
