Library Administrator Essentials Training
Thursday, October 29th, 11:30 a.m. ET
This three-hour course is designed for library administrators and staff who are responsible for setting up their Beanstack site, creating challenges, and assisting readers/participants with Beanstack. This course covers Beanstack’s basic functionality and is intended for both those new to Beanstack and returning library staff who need a refresher. Attendees will benefit from an in-depth overview of features and functionality, best practices for site and challenge setup, and site modification and configuration. This course also provides hands-on learning exercises in a unique training environment, so attendees can safely practice course material without affecting their own Beanstack sites.
Library Staff Essentials Training
There's no such thing as an overtrained staff! Join us for an hourlong session designed to provide those with staff-level access the tools they need to provide your community with a positive Beanstack experience. Staff members will learn the key benefits of patron registration and understand the basics of the patron and staff experience from account creation and logging to earning and redeeming rewards. Both live and pre-launch clients are welcome to attend!
Library administrators and staff will explore the features of the Beanstack Tracker App and learn some tips for assisting patrons navigate the mobile experience. Both live and pre-launch clients are welcome to attend!
This session will help library administrators determine which registration fields they need to collect on both the account creator level and the reader level, and how to set them up in Beanstack. Administrators will learn the difference between the two levels of registration and whether to require a registration field or make it optional. Both live and pre-launch clients are welcome to attend!
This session will walk you through everything related to the ticket drawing system. Library administrators and staff will learn what ticket drawings are, how and when to use them, how to set up a challenge with tickets, how to determine the winners of a ticket drawing, and how to run reports about ticket drawings. Please note this session will not cover traditional drawings, but attendees will be provided with an explanation of the difference between ticket drawings and traditional drawings. How to Plan for a Challenge in 5 Steps
Library administrators are welcome to join this session to learn five helpful tips, tricks, and processes that go into planning and executing a successful challenge. Whether you're creating a challenge on your own, in a team, across branches, or among different departments, a little planning can go a long way!
Library administrators and staff will learn what traditional drawings are, how and when to use them, how to set up a traditional drawing, which type of drawing is right for your community, how to determine winners of a drawing, and how to run reports about a drawing. Please note this session will not cover ticket drawings, but attendees will be provided with an explanation of the difference between traditional drawings and ticket drawings. Both live and pre-launch clients are welcome to attend!
Landing pages are the billboards of your Beanstack sites. In this session, library administrators will learn best practices for setting up a landing page, how to update landing pages based on the challenges available on their site, and how to set a community goal to encourage patron participation. Both live and pre-launch clients are welcome to attend!
Join us for a session dedicated to the points system. We will review a variety of different setups and have ample time for questions. In the session, we will review why you might choose to set up a points challenge, how to set up your site's points system, how to set up a points-based challenge, and what logging within a points challenge could look like for your community. Please note that this session will only cover setup for points-based challenges. Both live and pre-launch clients are welcome to attend!
