Duplicate account prevention and support
Today we are enabling tools to help prevent account duplication. The single best way to do ths is to capture email addresses at your library and to not allow duplicates. You can check to see if this is your current method by writing to helpdesk@zoobean.com.
That said, we know everyone cannot establish these rules, so we have added some more duplicate account prevention and help measures:
1. We now require that individuals confirm their email address when signing up for Beanstack.
2. When administrators add a new account, they will see a notification that indicates any other users who already exist with the exact same name.
3. There is an ability to enable a question upon registration that asks someone if they have participated in Beanstack previously. If they have, they are sent to a sign in page rather than a registration page.
4. When admins search for users, they’ll now see when the Account Creator was added and last updated in the search results. If there is a duplicate, then the admin would know which account was updated most recently when deciding which account to remove.
